Subscribers to Globe’s GMovies’ online stream of the Pacquiao-Ugas fight asked for refunds after the service experienced issues at the start of the event, 9 am, on Sunday, August 22.
The streaming platform posted a statement on Facebook in response, saying that “a recently detected issue” was causing the problem.
Users have flooded the post’s comments section with more connection complaints, some of which show a black screen or an error message reading, “Unable to play content.”
The post currently has more than 600 “angry” reactions, 1,200 comments, and more than 100 shares.
“Refund. Undercards are already underway,” said one commenter.
“Refund. We had to resort to paying for another streaming service because GMovies is still a black screen, and after an hour,” said another commenter.
The event is scheduled to run from 9 am to 1 pm, featuring a number of other fights before the main Pacquiao vs Ugas fight.
While majority of the users posted about negative experiences, there were also those who said that their issues had been resolved, and that they were now able to watch.
The cost of access to watch the fight on GMovies is P400.
