After ranking high in previous challenges, Pangasinan’s Maureen Christa Wroblewitz emerged on top for the Miss Universe Philippines casting challenge.

For the challenge, the candidates had to appear in a casting video wearing a plain white shirt and minimal make-up to show off their natural features from all angles.

Miss Universe Philippines announced the top 15 on social media on Saturday, August 21. The list was determined by fan votes cast through the Miss Universe Philippines app.

Maureen, a professional model, took the top spot. She was followed by Laguna’s Leren Mae Bautista, Cebu’s Steffi Rose Aberasturi, and Masbate’s Kisses Delavin.

Here’s the full list of the casting challenge top 15:

The casting challenge is the fourth for this batch of Miss Universe Philippines delegates, who previously participated in a runway challenge, a headshot challenge, and a video introduction challenge.

The 2021 pageant takes on a new format. The initial batch of 100 delegates was trimmed down to the Top 75 on August 8. The list will be further narrowed down to a Top 50, to be announced soon.

The Top 50 will then participate in in-person interviews with the Miss Universe Philippines organization, and only 30 candidates will compete in-person at the live pageant finals on September 25. – Rappler.com
