Vegetarians and plant-based eaters will be happy to know that 7-Eleven has just launched a new siopao variant that’s meat-free, stuffed with mushroom sisig.

7-Eleven’s mushroom sisig siopao (P29) is available starting Wednesday, August 19 in all Mindanao branches. Luzon and Visayas will have to wait, though, as 7-Eleven’s assortment of products “varies in each store since demand is different per area,” according to a Facebook comment by the brand.

In another Facebook comment, 7-Eleven said the mushroom sisig siopao is also vegan, saying that it is “100% mushroom.” The brand, however, did not say if the dough used is also vegan. – Rappler.com
