WATCH: Lascañas affidavit explainers on Tiktok

Arturo Lascañas, the self-confessed Davao Death Squad (DDS) gunman, submitted a 186-page affidavit to the International Criminal Court, making big accusations against President Rodrigo Duterte and his trusted aides.

The allegations, corroborated by other DDS hitmen, included Duterte ordering extrajudicial killings of crime suspects as well as to protect the alleged drug operations of his friend (and later presidential adviser), Chinese businessman Michael Yang.

Rappler read the entire document and got to corroborate its details with interviews with at least 25 other sources, aside from Lascañas, as well as other publicly available and confidential documents from government and various sources. The result is an investigative series titled, THE LASCAÑAS AFFIDAVIT | ‘I killed for Duterte.’
