Eastern Visayas

Eastern Visayas, also known as Region VIII, is a region of the Philippines, located in the Visayas. It has a population of 4,547,150 as of the 2020 Census, and a land area of 23,234.78 square kilometers.

The region is composed of the provinces of Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar, and Southern Leyte, the highly-urbanized city of Tacloban City, and the independent city of Ormoc City. Its regional center is Tacloban City.

In the 2022 elections, the region had 3,166,260 registered voters.
