Philippine Airlines subsidiary PAL Express on Tuesday, January 5, called for justice for its flight attendant Christine Dacera, as it mourned the death of the airline worker who was found dead in Makati City on New Year’s Day.

PAL Express said in a statement on Tuesday that it would extend full support to Dacera’s family.

“We are extending full support to the flight attendant’s family at this most difficult time. Our desire is for the truth to come out in the interest of justice,” PAL Express said.

The airline said Dacera “was an upstanding and professional PAL Express crew member who will be sorely missed by her colleagues and friends.”

The Philippine National Police announced on Monday, January 4, that it had solved the “rape-slay” case.

Three suspects were arrested and charged with rape with homicide, while 9 other suspects were still at-large.

Internet users called for the “protection of drunk girls” in the wake of Dacera’s death, as they condemned rape and victim-blaming. – Rappler.com
