Quantum Films released on Saturday, August 7 the official trailer for the feature film Kun Maupay Man It Panahon (Whether The Weather Is Fine). 

The two-minute clip shows clips of a devastated city in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Yolanda. Yolanda (international codename Haiyan) was the strongest recorded typhoon to hit the Philippines then. It ravaged Eastern Visayas, particularly Tacloban City, in 2013.

Kun Maupay Man It Panahon follows Norma (Santos-Concio), her son Miguel (Padilla), and daughter Andrea (Rans Rifol) as they struggle in the aftermath of the disaster. It is directed by Carlo Francis Manatad and written by Manatad, Giancarlo Abrahan, and Jérémie Dubois. 

The film is a joint production of Black Sheep, Dreamscape Entertainment, iWant, Globe Studios, Quantum Films, Cinematografica Films, and Plan C, as well as some foreign production houses, such as France’s House on Fire, Singapore’s AAND, and Indonesia’s KawanKawan.

Kun Maupay Man It Panahon is set to make its world premiere at the 74th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. The festival will run from August 4 to 14, 2021. 

It will also make its North American premiere at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), which will happen from September 9 to 18, 2021.
