MANILA, Philippines – It was a night filled with music and games as YouTube content creators entertained their Filipino fans at YouTube FanFest (YTFF) Manila 2016.
The crowd at the World Trade Center on Friday, May 27, was screaming for each of the 13 YouTubers who took to the stage, from local acts Abra and Lloyd Cafe Cadena, to foreign musicians like Tiffany Alvord and Tyler Ward.
The second YTFF held in Manila started off with a bang as Gab Valenciano performed one of his “Super Selfies” live.
Filipino-American AJ Rafael then played the piano and sang a few songs, including his original songs, “Roses” and “Emma Watson.”
Tanner Patrick took to the stage next, to the cheers and screams of the audience. “I love you guys, from the bottom of my heart. And I can’t thank you enough for bringing a small-town boy from Texas here to sing for you guys,” he told the audience before launching into his song, “Satellites.”
Mikey Bustos was up next, taking the stage in a glittering Philippine flag-inspired coat and singing about his “astig pig.” His performance had him interacting with a pig that was being flashed on the screen behind him.
Right after that, Mikey brought out entrepreneur Connor Franta, who played a game with a couple of his fans from the audience. All 4 fans won “How well do you know Connor Franta” and got a selfie with their idol.
Tiffany Alvord was up next, singing in Manila for the second time. Tiffany was performed in the Philippines with Tanner in 2014. Twice during her set, Tiffany told the audience, “Mahal kita (I love you)!”

In between acts, Lloyd Cafe Cadena spoke to Tiffany, Tanner, and Wengie in a live version of his segment, “Itanong Mo.”
The 6 boys of The Filharmonic wowed the crowd with their a cappella performances, serenading them, and even debuted their new song, “Dance Wit Me,” that night.

Comedian and vlogger Alex Wassabi came out onstage and played truth or dare with the hosts of the night. Soon, his brother Ron was also brought onstage to do a couple of dares. Among them, eating balut with no hands and pouring coffee into a cup while hula hooping.
