Lorin Gutierrez has officially entered showbiz after signing with Viva Artists Agency.

The 17-year-old social media star is the daughter of former beauty queen and actress Ruffa Gutierrez and Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas. She is the granddaughter of actor Eddie Gutierrez and talent manager Annabelle Rama. 

As part of a prominent showbiz clan, she has been in the limelight since she was young, appearing in various interviews and ads with her mother, as well as on the reality show It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez, which focuses on their family.

And now that I’m almost 18, it finally feels right, it feels like I’m comfortable finally,” Lorin said, joining an online press conference on May 18 from Los Angeles, where she is currently based.

“Never naman sinabi ng family ko na kailangan mo ‘tong gawin ngayon (My family never told me that I need to do this now) or they never tried to rush me, they never tried to pressure me…everything was at my own pace and now I’m ready, I’m excited, wala naman akong takot (I have no fear) or nervousness. I’m just really excited to put all my effort into this and see what, where this new chapter in my life takes me,” she continued.

Ruffa said she was a “#ProudMom” on Instagram, where she posted on May 19 saying “It’s Lorin’s time to shine! She’s ready for the new opportunities coming her way.”
