7 iconic IKEA pieces you’ll finally be able to get in the Philippines

MANILA, Philippines – With its ready-to-assemble concept, clean lines, and modern Scandinavian aesthetic, IKEA has grown something of a cult following – a craze the Philippines is soon to get in on with the opening of the first IKEA store in Manila.

According to ABS-CBN, IKEA has given franchise rights to a local partner called Ikano. Earlier in January, the brand also posted a job opening for design manager to be based in Manila. These signs may mean that the brand will be opening locally soon.

According to the IKEA website, one of these babies is sold somewhere in the world every 5 seconds. That number may just double as soon as IKEA opens in the Philippines.
