MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBN teased its highly-anticipated adaptation of the British drama Doctor Foster with a first look at the characters of lead stars Jodi Sta. Maria, Zanjoe Marudo, and Sue Ramirez. 

Titled The Broken Marriage Vow, the teaser released on Wednesday, December 1 shows a distraught Jodi as she starts suspecting that her husband, played by Zanjoe, is cheating on her with the character of Sue. 

May babae ka ba (Are you having an affair)?,” Jodi’s character said in the clip. 

The teaser is also reminiscent of the trending scenes from the South Korean adaptation The World of a Married Couple wherein the wife sees her husband and the mistress holding hands in the open, as she starts confirming her worst fear. Jodi is set to play Dr. Jill Ilustre, a successful doctor whose marriage is on the verge of collapse as she suspects her husband David Ilustre (Zanjoe) of having an affair. Sue plays Lexy Lucero, the young woman who becomes David’s mistress.

Originally a BBC Studios production, Doctor Foster tells the story of Gemma Foster, a doctor whose life takes a drastic turn when she suspects her husband of having an affair. It ran in the United Kingdom from 2015 to 2017 and has since been adapted for various audiences around the world.
