The former King Red Lion candidly shares his college basketball odyssey, beginning with his departure from De La Salle University, how he almost ended up with the Ateneo Blue Eagles, how he tried out for the UP Fighting Maroons, and how he ultimately wound up in San Beda.

Naveen: Do you think some players don’t watch film because their pride is too high and they can’t take seeing themselves making repeated mistakes?… Because it’s a hit on their pride?

Robert: On point! Noong college ako, si coach Boyet [Fernandez], parati ginagawa sa akin yan. Nahihiya ako. Like every time, ‘Tingnan mo ginagawa mo, nakatayo ka lang, hindi ka nag help side! Eh tingnan mo ginagawa mo, tingnan mo, panoorin mo sarili mo.’
