
MANILA, Philippines – At its Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) press briefing on Monday, June 15 (June 16, Manila time) Sony announced that a remake of PlayStation 1 classic role-playing game Final Fantasy VII would be coming to the PlayStation 4.
Game developer Square Enix’s trailer at the press briefing confirmed some of the staff that would be helming the effort. Yoshinori Kitase will be the producer, while Tetsuya Nomura will direct.
Sony’s Adam Boyes also said that the remake would be coming first to the PS4, bringing hope that the remake will see a showing on other consoles, or perhaps the PC.
No release date has been announced for the remake as of yet. – Rappler.com
